STEVE AOKI
Since 2013 Film Tank has worked with superstar American DJ Steve Aoki, one of worlds most successful DJ’s. Steve is a 2x Grammy-nominated artist who has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music history.
Steve holds the world record for the most traveled musical artist in history, often performing more than 300 shows a year all around the world. Steve is also famous for his adventurous non-stop lifestyle, which we helped showcase in the 2016 Grammy-nominated Netflix feature-length documentary “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead”.
For more than a decade Film Tank has been alongside Steve, creating impactful videos. From his pioneering tour documentary series Aoki’s World to brand partnerships, music videos, and album launches, we have traveled the world and headlined many of the world’s biggest events by his side.
Steve performs to millions of fans every year, and we’ve captured it all. Together we have experienced many different cultures and met many amazing people. Our work is a reflection of the world we’ve seen and we’re extremely grateful to all of the fans who have watched our content over the years.
In 2018 Steve Aoki, alongside Dutch duo W&W became the first musical artist to perform a show in weightlessness as part of the groundbreaking World Club Dome Zero Gravity project in Germany.
There were 50 participants in total on board, including competition winners from all over the world. Film Tank was on hand to capture this historic moment and feature it in Steve’s documentary series Aoki’s World.
In addition to all of Steve’s daily content needs, we also work alongside the Aoki Foundation with the primary goal of supporting research on regenerative medicine and brain preservation.
We teamed with Dutch animation studio Pitch Parrott to bring to life the Neon Future Science documentary series. Our collective vision is to one day see a world where degenerative brain diseases do not exist and science and technology play a direct role in extending the healthy lives our ourselves and our loved ones.
